What is Badlands?
This summer we’ll be at Badlands, probably the toughest gravel race in Europe. More than 800 kilometres through some of the wildest landscapes on the peninsula, including desert areas, extreme heat, endless tracks and hour after hour on the bike without rest.
At Quetzal, we’re not going there to chase a sporting result. We’re going because, for months, we’ve been developing products specifically designed for ultra-distance riding and we want to put them to the test in the most demanding conditions possible.
We believe the best way to create good clothing is to use it ourselves, push it to the limit and understand first-hand what works and what can be improved.
That’s why we’ve created the Objectiu Badlands social rides.
What will we do?
Before heading to Granada, we want to open the doors of Quetzal and share this process with you.
We’ll start the day at our facilities, where we’ll show you how we work, the new developments we’re currently working on, the tests we’re carrying out, the prototypes and some of the new products you’ll see over the coming months.
After that, we’ll head out for a social-paced gravel ride, designed to share kilometres, conversations and a passion for cycling.
This is not a commercial presentation. It’s an opportunity to see how we work, touch the prototypes, ask questions and spend some time with the people behind Quetzal.
What will you be able to see?
The new Badlands jersey before its launch.
Prototypes and garments currently in development.
New colours and upcoming collection previews.
The real process behind product creation and development at Quetzal.
The garments we’ll be putting to the test during Badlands 2026.
Test the new Badlands jersey
During the ride, some participants will have the opportunity to test the new Badlands jersey, a garment developed specifically for ultra-distance events, bikepacking and long days on the bike.
We’ll produce some units in different sizes, which will be available for the first registered participants to try. It'll be possible to buy it with a very special discount.
